Yeah
"Neither do my Windows boxes. That has more to do with the user than the OS."

So you mean Uncle Billy doesn't know what he's doing? After all, even he admitted that he got spyware on his home machine!

"Regardless, if a user has installed 50,000 applications to run on startup, this is a user problem, not an OS problem."

This is assuming the user is aware of all the spyware that set itself up to launch at startup.

"I must not be experiencing the true joys of running Windows because since leaving the W9X era, I don't think I've had to reinstall an application to get it working."

Apparently you rarely use Windows then. The fatc that you haven't had to do so had much more to do with random luck than sheer skill.

"Again, it boils down to users, not the OS."

Well, if that were really the case then M$ would never have need to release any patches, eh?..

"The number one thing a Windows user can do to avoid ANY of this is to install and use Firefox."

Why not just throw out all the junk in one fell swoop? Do one even better like I did: get a MAC! Just got a brand new G5 Imac. Sometimes the solution to endless product woes is to...go to a different product! It is AMAZING the amount of nonsense people take bent over from this company. When is ENOUGH ENOUGH?!
