- How about this.

If a pop-up shows up from spyware. Sue the company that produces the product or service. (Small claims court, Civil suit, $25.00) Of course the companies defense will be that they didn't put the ad on your computer, the marketing company they hired did, so they feel that gives them immunity. And, they will probably win. but they will still have to pay their lawyers to show up and fight it. If 1 person sues them, so what. If 10,000 people sue them. Those $25 fines start adding up. As soon as it starts costing more money to fight the small claims then they pay for spammers/spyware to support the pop-ups they might start looking for a different markenting company. The only way to stop spammers/spyware pop-ups it to hit them where it hurts. The WALLET!!
