Open, unsecured Wireless Networks I see people with is truly disheartening.

The problem is the manufacturers of these devices document them SO poorly the average home user will never figure it out.

From a security standpoint, there really are 4 basic things these folks need to be told:

1. Change the default password!
2. Disable the SSID Broadcast and change the default. I prefer to use a string of Hex characters instead of recognizeable words.
3. Turn on WPA Encryption.
4. This is the most important one IMHO. TURN ON AND USE MAC ADDRESS FILTERING.
