not daunting...
i work with wired routers and linux and windows and am an isp support tech. my first interaction with a wireless router was my dads router which gave me both the challenge of getting a computer inside his house to interact with his network in the small office (side house on the property) to communicate. before you say "you work with wired routers so it is easy for you" dont go there. wired routers generally you can plug it in and go. i use static ips and have a mediocre understanding of a wired ethernet network. setting up the wireless only required me to rtfm (or crack open the little pamphlet) that decribes how to enable wep which of course was under an option on the web interface under "wireless settings" set wep to 128k encryption. the next task was figuring out how to generate a key. oh, wait, there was a button that said "generate" and the router had on the interface screen to "write down the key to use it to set up the computers that will connect wirelessly".

i guess my point is, dont be skeered, rtfm and just do it. most people just think "this is too hard" and we get calls from customers saying "im too stupid" and im not making that up. anyone here who has worked in tech support knows i aint making that up. its just the "i cant" attitude of people.

fix the people, not the product.
