i.e. we need more techs
People just need to realize the power that they are toting around when they set up an AP. As with many tech jobs, sometimes you have to fix the customer rather than the system.

I live in a small community of around 10,000. I run into a new tech about two to three times a month. Generally they know about 20 or so people they help directly. How many of them are competent, I don't know. But I would say that the ratio of techs to non techs is pretty good, so most people should be able to get ahold of some one who knows a thing or two about computers.

Now, who to trust is another matter.
