File sharer is not a thief
they are law breakers, but not thieves. When you share a file you are not stealing something, you are breaking a rule created to protect inventors of all types. The problem I have with the RIAA is this method of strong-arming the little people. I think it's a very bad precedent to set and allow. basically they are taking the law in to their own hands. They've assumed the role of copyright police and there is no checks and balances. The end result will be innocent people being harassed and threatened. It's really a bad thing that is happening. I understand that it's wrong for them to share files, but from what I've seen Britney and EMNM sales were just fine despite the file sharing. I think the drop in sales have a lot to do with economics, changes in the industry, and bad press.
