Metaphor: I studied under a locksmith for a number of years. I then used that knowledge to beark into businesses and people's homes. My doing this shows then where their security is lacking. I deserve a medal for this.

Virus writing and hacking takes as much actual programming and IT skills as what is learned in the first year of a CS degree.

I'm glad you only bring up points like this to be a Mike Cox Junior, instead of being serious. The only problem is, that there are actually a few businesses out there that fall for this line of illogical thinking.
