cant we all just get along?

i dont really care about virii. i am not a programmer by far, i mostly work with hardware and linux. but since the late 80's when i first started using computers (pc in general) i have not had a virus. its the spam phishing crap that pisses me off. he has a point in stating that virii help the security industry by letting people know something is broken. yes, some lamers will take the code and compile it and spread it and you would have to be stupid to think someone wouldnt, but it is better to find/fix problems than it is to shush everyone about it and brush it under the rug (microsoft). just because someone doesnt go around telling everyone they found a way to break something, dont mean they aint gonna go around breaking something.
