Software Engineers are trained the same despite where or how they learned their tradecraft. They learn styles and the syles become habits! This ends as what worked 10 years ago works now, despite the bugs.

Can software engieers be held liable for bad code? Are they bonded/insured against mishaps caused by bad code?
