I understand and I agree
I was just trying to use an analogous situation, one that people routinely misunderstand. Just as it's in terrorists' best interests to keep a working Internet, so it's in their best interests to keep a free and open U.S.

Maybe a better analogy: I imagine it is much harder for gangsters to operate under fascism or totalitarianism than under a more open and unregimented society.
