Oh goodness...
A Linux box, get hacked!? Sure it happens. It
is definately preventable though. There are
many Windows compromises that are not
preventable -- ports that Windows always listens
on, and services that must always run. It is
much eaiser to secure and protect a UNIX/Linux
based system. Can a Linux system still get
hacked? Sure, but it is much more difficult.

The day that Windows provides:
* Multiple runlevels
* Real application isolation
* A kernel-based stateful firewall
* A plugable authentication framework (i.e. PAM)
* The equivalent of a chroot jail.
* The ability to close all ports, and turn off
all services.
* The ability to add and remove device drivers
without rebooting.
* Heap execution protection
* Security enhansements from the NSA.
* etc.
* etc.

Then maybe they'll start to get close the the
security that is provide in Linux today for
free.

Windows is a hackers playground. Hacking Linux
is a significant challenge.
