What's up with Linux video support?
I remember having to recompile the kernel to change my video driver.

I remember having to guess at timing settings in the config file to make Linux work with my video card.

I remember that certain graphics cards were not supported in Linux at all.

These things all happened on Linux systems 5+ years ago, just like having to reboot when you change screen res/color depth. Maybe you are suggesting that I've been doing things wrong for the last few years by not rebooting after a screen res/color depth change? Maybe I was just imagining that the change worked when in fact it didn't?

There are PLENTY of real things that Windows does badly today so why are you making stuff up? Only those that don't have real arguments resort to FUD like you just did.
