MS problems are of their own making. MS decided everything should be part of the OS so they created their problems. If they weren't so anti-competition and their obsession to crush everything else on the planet was not the main driving force behind them they could have created a modular system that required patches for what is installed. Of course that would mean they would have to give people a choice of what to install.

A media player, internet browser and GUI are just plain dumb to have on a server. There is no excuse for it. Really, how many people cruise the 'net or kick back and listen to Aerosmith on their database servers?

Their troubles are of their own making. I have no sympathy for anything as obsessed as MS is. If MS were a person they'd be in a mental hospital for the criminally insane.
