Not nearly as easy.
In IE, it doesn't take user effort to install adware, spyware or malware on your system. Just have ActiveX available and surf the net to "Safe Sites" with popup ads, banner ads and other such easily paid-for space on the website that links to external sites.

That is a vulnerability in the browser with IE.

WIth firefox it requires the user to "Click Here" for this really cool thing that you really don't need, and then accept the cert and perform the download then execute the program.

That is a vulnerability between the chair and the keyboard with Fx.

My company is Adware/spyware free since switching to Fx. Recently, we had three systems infected with a range of ad/spy/malware. All three users said they used IE to surf because they were on a site that said, "You must use Internet Explorer version 5.x or higher to properly use this site" and did not close IE when they were finished but continued their surfing.

Less than one day of use of IE and they were infected. The solution? spend money on an Enterprise solution or remove the free IEView extension that was installed in the free Fx browser for those very rare cases that some standards-incompatible site is accessed.

Tell me again that Fx is just as vulnerable. Go ahead. Say it. I dare you. I double-dog dare you!
