Not looking back
For audits, I reconfigure my machine to ?suit? the next victim's environment. Until recently, my software of preference was pure MS, but after running into Rich Bill's install limits on Office once too often I changed to Firefox, T-Bird, and OOOrg. In addition to being free, these new packages also provide a greater margin of safety.

The major issue I have seen with MS is size and market diversity. It should not come as a shock to anyone that it is market size and diversity which limits an expeditious correction and delivery of code. MS has very good programmers who can fix any problem, but their management structure seems to be geared to the bottom line rather than a customer line.

As soon as I can, I will be changing to SuSe Linux. Good bye Bill. I am not looking back.
