That should read opinion instead of statement. Actually, it should read dumb opinion. The logic of this 'opinion' is so faulty I don't know where to start with it. Kinda like going into a Toys-R-Us and choosing just one toy.

Apache is used on about 70% while MS is around 24% of web servers. Why is it we don't see a mad rush of crackers going after Apache?

Simple. Crackers go after easy targets, not the greatest number. Those that evangelize proprietary software should think carefully about this.

The myth of installed base vs attacks has been dispelled so many times I am really surprised to see some talking head try to slip it past us. Is this guy a noob or something?

Crackers (not hackers) are going to keep going after IE because it is so easy to crack and there are so many different ways to crack it they will neither be seriously challenged nor bored.
