go back to .. dog - back to paper and pen
No but the printed dictionary or enciclopedias and ordianry ooen and paper.
You wil be surprised at how easy it is to read printed matter with ease of looking many pages at the same time with a flick of the wrist and not peering at a monitor or being affected by hackers low batereies etc.
Recently I attended a meeting which asked for particpants to use a PC to access information on CD's or travelling disks.
I do not have aportable PC and referd to printed matter.
Whle the chairman was busy restarting a PC after a PC crash, finding the file by refering to a title and than scrollig down the page to find an item,
I was confortably sitting back in my chair looking simultenaously at all the notes spread out on the table next to me, recognising the file by loking at the contents on the front page and scanning down the page in an instant by the movment of my eyes.
In addition I could easily look up sumulteaneously a number of pages in one or a number of files.
I also anotated in ink immediately the notes for decisions or actions to be taken whilst making refernce notes on a separate diary.
I would suggets even A tablet PC and software like MS oulook and OneNote as well Lotus Notes can achieve the above.
And for doing menatl calculations i did not need to open the excell file and than come back to the orignal word or powerpoint document; I did or in my mind, on a notepad by hand or with a slideruler.
What is wrong with using the oldfashioned ovehead projector with transparent sheets? or istribute printed sheets;
after all the participants should look at you not at summary of point you will talk about; try it it might surprise you how easy and pleasent it is.
Maurice
