Creating "more spam" and Internet traffic may be
a side effect, I agree. If the Internet was
taken down as a result of the spam war, then
maybe ISP's would be forced into blacklisting
spamvertised sites, blocking port 25 access to
outside servers by default (AT&T Worldnet does
this, and I have never received a spam from
their network), and actively hunting down the
spammers. I'm personally am tired of updating
filtering software, losing legit email, and
complaining to abuse departments ofISP's only to
get a form reply and more spam. I am willing to
try offensive measures. At least it will cost
the spammers some time and money.
