The slide into anarchy
Encouraging vigilantism on spammer web sites isn't far from a mild form of terrorism. I'm very sympathetic to the need to kill off spam, but generating DoS attacks isn't the best approach - that only validates this method for others to use (i.e., Iraq, Al Qaeda, etc.).

Far better to work within the framework of the law and establish a legitimate method for dealing with issues, than encouraging others to lash out simply because they feel their position is "right".
