Okay, when it comes to the great unwashed masses of PC users the duh factor is quite high. Still, a lot of these phishes come bundled with a virus or trojan load. I'd say 25% of the ones I get try to load a virus. Of course, when you surf with Linux you can look at the virus code and take apart the emails. Very interesting. And they're getting better by the day. I have to check two or three different places to find the phoney eBay phishes these days.

For someone using Outlook and Windoze some of those messages look very real. They wouldn't have to be that dumb.

I'm not sure the average user really realizes how much effort it takes to keep a Windows box running in any capacity. And that doesn't even address spyware.

I might change the headline to read "Anyone dumb enough to use Windows on the Internet by now..."
