Most Users Know JACK
Just because the people in your neighborhood have secured their local networks doesn't mean that they are the only ones smart enough to protect them selves! I'm sure you would agree that these businesses and the local government in your area are pretty stupid for not securing their networks since confidential information is at stake. The fact is most users know jack about security and how to protect themselves. If you read the directions, you can secure your network with a password or pass phrase and encryption so this just means your neighbors can read and the elected officials there want the ease of use and don?t care if sensitive documents get out to the general public.
