Better yet, use Thunderbird or Mozilla Mail
Both are simpler alternatives to installing a full-blown office suite like Smartsuite/WP just for an email client. And they're simpler and more secure alternatives to Outlook.

Anyway, to me, Outlook's most egregious sin is not its insecurity, but it's pure usability failures. It's easily one of the worst successful pieces of software I've ever seen. As an exercise to illustrate this, ask a sampling of Outlook users how they'd go about viewing the source of one of their messages. I'd be willing to bet that 8 of 10 won't know the answer; and that given access to their own system, running outlook, 5 of 10 won't be able to figure it out in five minutes time.
