Nice try but no cigar - leave your windows experience behind
"This isn't the issue anyway, it's an issue of STUPID USERS
executing attachments!"

Yes it would be nice if there were no stupid users but lets
rejoin the real world. This is as brilliant as the Bill and Steve
"if there wasn't any hackers/virus writers" line. The OS
should protect the enterprise from the stupid user.

"BFD! In my opinion, this is just one more little step than
doing a save to disk."

It would be if running the chmod command was sufficient
to make a file executable. Leave windows behind and join
the *nix revolution.

Mount the file system for the user's home and
public directories with "noexec" and no matter what
permissions they try and set it still won't execute. What
nothing like this is windows? Does that really surprise!!
