You must be a terrible admin
I log onto my machine every day as a non administrator user and I haven't yet needed to use Run As. You must be even worse than a paper MCSE because even they can configure a point and click OS like Windows so that users can run their day to day applications without having to use Run As.

Also, saying that locking down a Windows box makes you lose more functionality than locking down a Linux box is pure, unadulterated FUD. Good one!!

Regardless, this thread started talking about how Windows was fundamentally flawed with bad design because all users had to run as admin. A fundamentally flawed design is one that CAN'T be made to work properly. An implementation that has defaults you happen not to like (nor do I, to be honest), is not the sign of a fundamentally flawed design, no matter how much you Linux shills like to jump up and down and proclaim it to be so. Since the ONLY argument any of you have been able to come up with is that users are dumb, and NONE of you have been able to explain how Windows is fundamentally flawed (except for you but in your case, it is the admin that is fundamentally flawed), I take your complete inability to refute my point as a sign of your defeat. Have a nice day!
