This strikes me as a singularly narrow-minded conclusion. Home users ARE as concerned about security as the IT manager, or rather, they WOULD be if the understood the issue properly. Which is why the industry (manufacturers of networking products aimed at consumers) need to be taken to task for not building tools that are more secure AND educating consumers about the impact of disabling security features, leaving WAP's in the "out-of-box" configuration, etc.

Trying to shift the blame to "careless consumers" is a lame excuse.
