I work for the largest ISP in my state. We block as many virus,
trojans, worms, spam, ect. as we can. The last thing we want on
our network is a windows box spewing crap all over our
network.
Durning the last major virus outbreak we blocked 3.5million
inbound attempts in the first hour! On a daily basis we kill over
300,000 spam messages.
We don't have the time to train our customer sevice reps on
every version of software firewalls. We do have recommended
free software for firewalls, anti-virus, and ad ware.
It's your computer, your software, you figure it out or call the
