I'll agree w/ that

For any WinXP install I just "forget" about that network interface until I update the SP2 and it gives me the dummy-enable firewall just like linux "enable firewall" checkbox on install.
Even pre-sp2 I would enable the basic one before I went on line. Too bad ISP's don't support software FW really that is the main problem, they want p-n-p and security gets in the way of the call-per-hour turnaround.
