SP2
I have installed SP2 on 9 XP Systems, all standalone systems and each one configured differently than the other, I have had no problems whatsoever with the installation or the post installation operation of any of these machines.

I use resonable Virus protection and Zone Alarm Pro on each machine along with Ad-Aware SE (The Free Version)and have never had a Virus nor any significant problem with XP or MSIE since Windows 3.0, ok 95 was a bit of a problem and the XP Activation and registration process sucks but other than that they work just fine.

I tried FireFox but found several web pages it would not render properly, not a lot but some and thats too many, too few features in FireFox, it has a way to go before it becomes a viable option to IE for anyone that uses the net a lot.

people refuse to open their eyes and realize that there are thousands or tens of thousands of difefent configuerations that XP and MSIE must be able to work with.

Companies like Apple dont have this problem because all their systems are essentialy the same so the OS is written for the same Computer and will install on them all for the most part.

Then there are the appliance operators that know enough to turn their PC on and off and nothing more, the system must put up with being turned off during Hard Disk access and other critical times and other abuses, which it does well, very well.

I cant help but think that most of these complaints are unfounded or user generated, XP, MSIE and SP2 work just fine.
