Internet not WWW
Just wanted to make a correction. The Internet and the World Wide Web are two different things. The Internet did not "become" the World Wide Web, or WWW. There are still other services out there other than web pages (WWW) such as Gopher, FTP, Whois, Usenet, etc.

While it's true that the average user knows nothing about these other services and thinks that web pages ARE the internet, this just is not true. It's like those people that call a computer a CPU or a hard drive, and a hard drive memory. By the way, who is it that keeps spreading these misnomers? I can think of one US computer superstore for sure that definitely does it, but I would be interested in knowing who else, and why??!!!
