Okay so what is the real issue?
Do you realize how easy it is to make a status bar read what ever you want? A simple anchor calling some js and walla. A perfectly good link that goes somewhere other than what the status bar reads. So FF is more secure becuase they turn off their status bar by default? So if I turn mine on in FF, and didn't pay attention to what I was doing, then it would be my fault if I got spoofed. This is definately not a security issue(and not even worth an article, IMO) that is IE specific, at least. If this is seen as a security issue it goes far beyond that of MS and goes to the industry standards. So what is the "real issue" you speak of? Turning off the status bar does not make a browser more secure. I do not blindly follow MS but this one is a non-debate.
