You defined a Cracker.
A hacker, if he was very nice, would ring your bell waking you up and tell you about your unlocked door, and how to lock it (especially since it is a VERY dangerious neighborhood). If he wasn't nice, he might leave a note on the inside of the door or maybe somewhere inside your house.

For the wallet thing, a nice hacker will probably mail it to you. Most will probably not pay any attention to it as it is too much work to get it back to you.
