No you just don't get it. NOWHERE did I say use another OS. I'm just saying that the line of "It's not costing me anything" is PURE BULLSH!T. Use any OS you want. I happen to use 4 computers at home, 2 pure Windows, 1 pure linux and 1 dual boot. Yes the Windows boxes have AV software & NOW spybot crap. But I do not believe for a minute that your company is willing to writeoff the extra expenses of protecting your equipment. Your decision, along with every other NBM CIO right or wrong, is costing me money.
