The shill is strong in you also
The main point of nonMS shills is why the heck are you using MS
software when there are other much more secure systems
available?

Sure there are situations where the software is not available on
other platforms. For those occasions use a windows machine or
run VMware or Virtual PC. If you are a gamer (remember this is
an article on corporations) well, run MS software and deal with
the security intrusions.

You have to admit their "firewall" is a joke.

Given that computers have become ubiquitous in our society,
why don't they behave better? Or more precisely, why doesn't MS
software behave better? Don't layout the same tired argument
that MS is a bigger target. Look to the past few days when the
PC websites were going ape with glee over the supposed fact
that Macs finally had a nasty worm, virus, trojan, spyware. Such
a person writing actual malware for Linux or Mac would be a
hero to the MS community. Time to face facts, owning a MS box
is about as hard as taking candy from a orphaned 2 year old.
Don't give me that crap about if you know what you're doing
Windows is as secure as any other operating system. The tired
"my box has never had a virus, ect" because what you are saying
is that the millions of corps around the world have complete
idiots running their networks and only you are smart enough to
do it.

The fact is that on a default install, public IP internet
connection, Windows is about as insecure as it gets these days.
It is only after you add in a hardware firewall, virus detection
software, adware software, spyware software, stop using IE and
other measures that you are relatively secure.

Meanwhile users of other OS's grimace at the thought of yet
another virus will clog up the internet, more compromised
Windows boxes will be filling up our inboxes with spam.
