The shill is strong in you
Your post is so wrong on so many levels.

1. If MS included anti-spyware software, anti-virus software, and fully featured firewalls, the shills would post in droves about how MS is evil because they bundle software to drive other companies out of business. When MS included a simple firewall, the bundling accusation was joined with a chorus of "Yeah, but it sucks". So not only was MS evil for bundling a firewall which was going to drive firewall companies out of business, they were also evil for bundling a simple firewall that meant users had to keep firewall companies in business by buying another firewall. Confused? Yeah, ABM shills are confused. In their heads though, it makes sense that MS is evil for any action that drives other companies out of business AND any action that ensures other companies stay in business.

2. You suggest that anti-virus, anti-spyware, and firewall software is only necessary if you run Windows. Bzzzt. Nice try though! A firewall is necessary for ANY computer connected to the internet. About anti-virus software, only time will tell who is right about the need for it on Linux. Personally, I think that if Linux ever goes mainstream enough to get clueless users running it, the need for anti-virus software will be as necessary for Linux as it currently is for Windows. And anti-spyware is necessary for ANY OS that has spyware written for it. Spyware typically uses the very weakest link in computer security to get itself installed: the user. Either you don't allow users to install any software on the computer (something that is possible with all modern OSs), or you allow them to install software and run the risk of them installing spyware. Take your pick but the problem, and solution, are the same no matter what OS you are running.
