Missing the point?
Since we do run Windows on the desktops, we would still be renwing our corporate subscription to McAfee regardless of spyware.

This new version of McAfee that removes spyware was released since we renewed our subscription - so there has been no 'new' cost associated with the spyware problem.

The subscription gives you access to any new released that come out during that subsciription period. Since last renewing our subscription, McAfee has released two new versions of VirusScan. We passsed on version 7 because the version we were running was fine, but decided to deploy version 8 when we found that it cleaned spyware.

BTW...not to be much of a wise A55, but spare me the "if you were running Linux, the cost would not be there in the first place" mantra. I don't care.
wink
