RE: Wow, I Can Agree With You On This One
I haven't had any viruses on any PCs under my control either, I use Firefox, have Ad Aware, latest AV signatures and a firewall running. I'm pretty safe for the moment.

The point I was trying to make was that I often do freelance PC repair and analysis for people, and the majority of them use AOL and I have yet to find one of them without a ton of spyware or so riddled with viruses that the machine can't start up properly. It's all about education and being proactive and many people just take the software that's given to them for granted and "assume" it is going to protect them from everything.

It's a sad, sad, world we live in sometimes.

Point taken. It's not just AOL obviously. Everyone I work with feels it's ok to bring their home PC problems to me as well, and 9 times out of 10, it's turns out to be a problem located between the chair and the keyboard.

I must apologize for some of my earlier posts. Some of my remarks were rude and uncalled for. In my defense it's been a rougher than usual Monday morning, and I'm afraid it affected my mood while posting.

Now that I've got a half gallon of caffiene in me, I'm much better.
