Using your example, if the people who owned the car KNEW in advance that it had all these problems, even if they were told by the dealership that it was fine, if they KNEW it in advance that it would have all the problems, and they bought it anyway, even the courts aren't going to be able to help them. Also, even if they didn't know before they bought the car, but if they found out after purchasing the car, and they still continued to use the car, KNOWING IT WAS FAULTY AND DEFECTIVE, no jury (even in the moronic USA), would find the car company liable. Especially if the user could have simply just gotten another car, for FREE (in comparing cars to OS's). Just waxing.
