Its not helpful to talk of stupid users

This is like making a car the engine of which blows up if you rev over 7000, but not stopping the engine revving over 7000.
We are all stupid sometimes. One day you're going to climb in the car, and your foot hit the gas pedal...
The computer equivalent is, it's late at night, you aren't paying enough attention, a dialog comes up... holy smoke your data is sent to the hacker website.

Why are so many apps written that require admin priviledge to install? This is foolish.
The apps should be installed in something like /usr/share/appname and only access ~/appname for read and write (and nothing else, unless YOU go out of your way to let them. Users can move files around with explorer, so that would be easy.

The alternative in the MS world would be, the app can only install to \Program Files\appname.
The program can only access \Documents And Settings\username\Documents\appname.

Easy. All in a nutshell.
User should have to swipe an Admin card in the keyboard to enter Admin mode, and it should have written in big letters on it (or it should be in a sealed envelope) with "YOU SHOULD NOT NEED THIS FOR INSTALLING APPLICATIONS. XXX Soft ONLY RECOMMEND ENTERING ADMIN MODE IF YOU ARE QUALIFIED. YOU CAN DO SEVERE DAMAGE... etc etc.
