Yes, I agree. Most of the time, it takes stupid users to really pass these viruses along. Just as with Linux, Mac OS X can easily restrict installation of software to only those cases when the root password is given. It business settings, not allowing the general user this password protects the machine. However, in a home environment, no such protection exists. And giving instructions to a user to input the password when asked, WILL cause a great number to do just that.

However, the real question then becomes How many viruses can infect machines with little or no user intervention? Windows leads the pack by so much in this area that no other OS will ever catch up.
