Yes microsoft keep talking, we're listening
I checked that graph. The filename is investmentplans1q04a.jpg. Is that an investment plan for quarter 1 '04? I hope not. A lot has changed since 1st quarter. Those numbers could reflect on the growth of new software sales. W2k3 was "new" back then. Plus who in their right mind would just jump off a new product they just purchased. That graph is right and it is as expected, it is a new product, so yes you aquire more purchases, there should be no "stay the same" or "decrease" unless they went to unix or linux.

What bolgna about the virus thing. 30,000 linux viruses in 4 years? Hmm windows must be "really secure" if it can aquire 30000 viruses in 15 years. Viruses will most likely find themselfs trapped in a sandbox on linux.

What about indemification? Novell, Redhat, IBM and HP have patent indemification policies in place. Sure many distributions can't offer this kind of protection but most businesses use novell and redhat commercial distributions anyways.

Want to read up about stability? Check out Netcraft.com. You can check the uptime (and downtime) of websites. You will notice that the windows platform has the lowest uptimes while the linux and *bsd are at the top of this lists.

Googles using Linux, Amazon is using Linux, and many fortune 500 companies are using linux. Hmm, wait according to microsoft noones really using linux.
