Well we are all in trouble
"According to Gartner, by 2008 Linux desktops -- which
the research firm boldly says could attain as much as 30
percent market share -- will have about the same number
of viruses as Windows desktops."

From the low number of virii for Linux we have in 2004, we
will have the same number (30,000) as Windows within 4
years. Given that it will take time for the desktop numbers
to reach 30% we must reach a point where hundreds of virii
must be written for Linux every week. This statement is a
reflection on how dumb MS users are that such information
should even be quoted.

Admins don't fear, unlike the windows security nightmare
you can today restrict a users permissions under Linux so
that they can never run applications you haven't installed.
PERIOD.

GNU/Linux distributions continue to power ahead and the
next major upgrade to openoffice (the v2 rewrite) is due
early 2005 - a major step in making the platform even
better for administrators.

MS and Ballmer talks, open source does!
