Windows is a security hole
Here's a fairly exhaustive and brutally honest comparison of Windows and Linux security.

No one working on both sides of the OS fence will be surprised to hear that MSFT has been lying about their security numbers. We're so used to being lied to now that we've almost come to expect it.

Windows is a fine operating system, you just can't trust it connected to the internet.
