First off, just how does the Legislative Branch of government MAKE the Executive Branch create a new position? Tail wagging the dog if you ask me (or consult the constitution). Its up to the president to create new positions, and you to accept or reject the funding for such.

Next, for your information it is ONLY M$ Windoze products that have these security problems. The last time (first time and ONLY time) multiple non-M$ computers were compromised by the same "virus" was the "Great Worm" or the "Morris Worm" that affected DEC VAX and Sun 3 machines in 1988. Although many people may SAY that Linux/Unix machines are just a vulnerable, but that crackers and not writing virus' for them, it is just NOT a credible arguement.

You reap what you sow. The government that YOU represent coddled the monster known as Micro$oft, and bought into their marketing line, hook-line-and-sinker. You now find yourself in an uncomfortable position! How does it feel to be on a congressional committee that deals with ONE COMPANY'S PROBLEM? Don't extrapolate - it IS just ONE COMPANY'S PROBLEM that you have allowed to become EVERYONE'S PROBLEM. Hope you're happy now!
