Here is another hard fact of life
Go do your research and find some reports of incidents where old Netscape, Mozilla, or Opera based browser security was actually exploited. You don't have to do any research to come up with any incidents for IE. Could that be one of the reasons you use Firefox aside from the other hard fact that it just has more useful features?
