I understand what you are saying...
But, the fact that the browser doesn't refocus the tab when the javascript asks to refocus the cursor is still a flaw in the design of the browser.

Tho, you are right, this flaw doesn't equal a vulnerability or a real risk to the user, but only if you are assuming the user is somewhat smart, no... lets say average.

I have seen MANY users who don't even click in the login box before typing their username and password (they just assume the PC already knows what they want)!!! Worse, they check what/where they typed after they have finished typing both. As I said before, I am more worried about the user messing up than the actual browser flaw.

For you scenario, I think it is bs too, but I can actually think of 2 people who might call me to fix their PC because they can't type into or use this new window after repeated attempts happy
