Gates Doesn't "Get It" - as usual.
Dear Bill Gates,

We don't need anti-spyware/anti-adware software produced by Microsoft. It merely is a third-party stopgap to make up for the glaring security breaches that are left in the various Microsoft OS's. Now I can forgive the older systems like Windows 9x/ME which were single user systems with no security, but from NT forward, you were trying to be a contender in the multiuser industrial strength business OS market. There was plenty of precedent and prior art showing that bad and evil people were willing to try anything to break such systems as unix and vax/vms, et al. You failed to pay attention to what came before you and your public relations system has poopoo'ed the whole concept for way too long. Put some of those programmers you employ on to blackhat hacking your own stuff and maybe, some day we won't need this stupid anti-spyware/anti-adware and antivirus software, or do you merely view it as another revenue stream and are willing to encourage its proliferation?
