Secure Internet Computing
As long as anything is connected to anything else security is priority No 1. Security is not just an application that you install to make your computing "secure".

It is well known that authentication and privacy are needed and increasingly integrity in the information transfer. This can only be addressed with established authentication and encryption schemes. In the meantime only the real FOOL accepts unknown code to be accepted from remote (and equally uknown systems) execute on its local machine.

The fact that MS applications allow this to happen so easily, so prervasively and most often without the knowledge of the unsuspecting or non-technical user, defies any logical interpretation. The fact that not only remote access is almost unimpeded but also the existence of well known and old windows vulnerabilities are there (eg, RPC) also defies logic.

UNIX systems have been around and interconnected for much longer than windows PCs. Some worms were put into use very early on, but subsequently no UNIX system suffered any significant disruption or damage since. There must be something intrinsically better in terms of security in UNIX systems vs. ms windows ones.

But BG is now evangelizing the "seamless computing" approach happy Yes! After suckesfully ... and effectively resolving all security issues with their other Trustworthy Computing "inititative" they can now freely rool into the seamless future.

I don't know why he thinks that people are that stupid.
