The Internet
This is why the Internet simply amazes me. Actually, it's human involvement and perception regarding the Internet.
If I were to call up 100 people and say "Hi, I'm from Your Bank. (insert reason) Can you tell me your account number, full name, address, and Social Security number?" - how many people would tell me?
I'd think very few.
But if it's in an E-MAIL!!! It HAS to be real!

Another example is those young girls & women who meet someone on the Internet (usually chat), and then invite them to their house. Then they end up kidnapped, raped, or murdered.
If I just called a random number and said "Hi. I'm Joe. So tell me about yourself. I like your voice." - I would get hung up on SO fast.
Yet if it's on the Internet, it's OK. {I'll just give this person my home address and arrange to meet him.}

If it's a phone call or letter, people are not receptive and are often suspicious.
If it's the Internet, they are far more trusting.
WHY?
This intrigues me to no end.
