The problem with laws that allow the goverment to pry into our lives is that they always end up being abused for reasons beyond their orininal intentions. So yes, may provisions could be used to figth terrorism, but they also enable the government to mess with innocent people. Anybody remember JE Hoover? He's the poster child for why govt power should be limited.
