Test deeply. Don't trust only Microsoft or your vendors!
Today my client applied several updates, to their standardized XP desktops for this GDIplus flaw, both Microsoft's and their third-party software vendors. The vetted updates weren't enough. This scanning tool:

http://isc.sans.org/gdiscan.php

from the Internet Storm Center identifed five other vulnerable incarnations of GDIplus in their company standard installation - including some Microsoft programs that Microsoft's own update did not patch.

Forewarned is affirmatively armed. Do your due dilligence and scan.
